Ben Rosenbaum is the Battalion Chief for Battalion 41 with Eagle Fire Department. Ben started his fire career as a volunteer in 2003 and was hired a short time after that. He came through each rank, including a stint as a Training Officer, and currently is a BC since January 2023.
Along with Brian Olson, he started Refined By Fire Training around 2012. RBFT joined ranks with Brothers in Battle in 2015, which has given him the opportunity to share knowledge with and learn from FF’s at the local, regional, and national level. Ben was also instrumental in creating and running the Quad County Truck Academy in 2014-2018.
Ben is a proud father of three really cool kids and husband to a beautiful wife, who is a Fire Captain for the Boise Fire Department. Though she is junior in seniority, she has the bigger paycheck and is a better all around firefighter then Ben.
Ben is obsessed with all aspects of truck work, and in the last few years has put a ton of effort into building his KSA’s in rescue work. Because of his desire to share knowledge and his regional credibility, this has boosted operational readiness throughout his department and region.
Ben is 4’ 13” tall and the owner of BIB’s second finest mustache, following Stephen Tyler’s.
